How to reduce the amount of dust forming in your house

How to reduce the amount of dust forming in your house: The obvious answer is simply to keep cleaning regularly, especially rugs, carpets and upholstery, but there are a few other places people often overlook.

Always vacuum rather than sweep hard floors with a broom. If possible, use a cleaner with a HEPA filter for added protection against dust.

Change your vacuum cleaner filters regularly. These eventually clog up, causing your cleaner to spray dust back into the room every time you use it.

Clean your air and heating vents once a year. This will prevent any buildup of dust floating back into your rooms and settling on your furniture

Change your heating and air filters regularly. Also change the filters once they become clogged with dust. If you do neglect to change them, all that caked-on gunk will simply be blown straight back into the air every time you switch on the appliance.

Keep your pets off the furniture. Apart from keeping the hairs at bay, pet dander is a major contributor to dust and other nasties building up in your upholstery.
