How to Keep a Stainless Steel Refrigerator Clean and Free of Fingerprints

How to Keep a Stainless Steel Refrigerator Clean and Free of Fingerprints:

With their sleek, contemporary look, stainless steel appliances are among the hallmarks of modern kitchens. The intended effect is one of clean, smooth, reflective surfaces, but the fingerprints that stainless steel inevitably accumulates can mar this aesthetic. There’s no way to completely fingerprint-proof your stainless steel appliances, but regular cleaning can stop the problem from getting out of hand, and some household supplies can add a buffer layer between your appliances and your family’s fingertips. You have a number of options for each stage of the process, so mix and match whichever supplies you prefer to use.

This is actually much easier than it sounds. You could use any of the specialist wipes you get from grocery stores – any will do, but before you ‘splash the cash’, try wiping the surface with a damp cloth soaked in water and a little dishwasher fluid. This should work just fine if you go ‘with the grain’.

If after applying the cleaning fluid you see those annoying watermarks, then it’s probably to do with hard water and not the cleaner. To overcome this, simply rinse it with a damp cloth and then dry immediately with a paper towel.
