How to easily clean Tennis shoes

Hey everyone in today’s article we are going to be cleaning tennis shoes, so i’m going to show you all the steps that I take to clean my tennis shoes.

First thing you’re going to start with cleaning your tennis shoes is to make sure you check all of the labels on the inside of the shoe wherever it might be located and make sure it doesn’t say hand wash only if it does say hand wash only obviously you’re not going to be able to stick in the washing machine.

Most tennis shoes you can stick in the washing machine if you don’t see anything on your label and you’re questioning it based on kind of the material that might be on it something like leather or canvas I definitely wouldn’t stick in the washing machine so give it a google usually you can find your brand of tennis shoes and look it up online and see the washing instructions for them so check that first before you do anything.

Pull out all of the laces because we’re going to clean them really good and get everything out of there, start cleaning off the rubber part of the soles with a little bit of laundry detergent.

If you do have eye holes in your shoe then use a cleaning toothbrush, dip it into your laundry detergent and then get all of those little nooks and crannies, fill up sink with some water and add some oxi clean and let it soak in there for a little bit.

While the sink continues to fill up, start to clean off the laces a little bit and use the cleaning toothbrush, get those really dirty spots and then toss them in the warm water with the tennis shoes and the oxiclean.

Finally put the shoes into a lingerie bag along with the laces and stick them in the washing machine and give them a good wash, once done pull them out and you’re going to want to again look at those instructions and check with your specific shoes the most ideal thing would be to set them outside on a nice warm day.

A good tip if you’re sticking them in the dryer is to use a large towel in the dryer to help kind of move those shoes around a little bit. Your shoes will look so much better now. I encourage you to give your shoes a nice deep clean as well and do this regularly.
